Glass Preparation
Glass sheets are carefully prepared by cleaning to remove any impurities, ensuring an optimal surface for the subsequent bending and bonding processes.
Spacer Application
A polysulfide spacer is applied to the perimeter of one of the glass panes. This spacer creates the air or gas-filled space between the panes and ensures consistent separation.
Gas Filling
Depending on the application, the space between the panes may be filled with insulating agron gas to improve thermal performance. The unit is pressed to ensure consistent spacing and prepare it for final sealing.
Sealing
A durable perimeter sealant is applied to lock out moisture and maintain long-term durability. The completed IGU is then inspected for visual quality, seal integrity, and dimensional accuracy before moving to final packaging and delivery.
